Very nice, renovated and family friendly Hotel. We had an apartment with two rooms for 5 people. I would say especially, nice location to spend time also with smaller children, because there is a big playground infront of the hotel and also play corner on the groundfloor inside of the house. Near the hotel is Cafe, where you can order very delicious, homemade and also traditional food. Everything is very close. Hiking trail is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

It's in Hřensko, the Czech size of the Bad Schandau area, and you can get there by taking the S-Bahn train to Schoena (the German side), then cross the river by ferry. Location-wise it's in the middle of all hiking routes and landmarks, so I'd highly suggest people stay in this hostel instead of the core Bad Schandau area. The guy who welcomed us was very nice, recommending us a few restaurants we could go to in the town. Breakfast was classic European style, and the scrambled eggs were so creamy! We got a room with a balcony facing the Elbe River, the beds are comfy, perfect for a short stay! They have plenty of space for parking if you drive.

We had spent a lot of our vacation in cities and it was fantastic to spend some time in a quiet place close to nature. The apartment was very comfortable, modern, and clean, located in a very small town. It felt like the owner really cares about the small details. Communication with her was great. The beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have a washing machine and dryer. The parking was free and convenient. The area is lovely.
