The room was very nice. It was clean and modern with airconditioning and a TV with lots of smart features including chromecast. The location is great right in the middle of Den Burg and close to the bus stop.
The breakfast was wonderful with lots of variation and options. Delicious yoghurt with granola and fresh fruit, pastries and fresh cuts of cheese and meat products. I really like how it was brought to each table separately.

We are very happy about our stay here!
Conditions: Things are clean, also sufficient hot water supply for bathtub (I thought it would be a bit constrained like cannot fill bathtub for me and allow bf taking shower at same time as it’s not hotel building, but it’s actually quite good);in shared kitchen you will have shared fridge and Qooker for hot tea.
Entertainment: in shared kitchen/dining room there are some board games in case the weather changes:-), next to the accommodations there’s workshop for making your own yarn stuffs, we didn’t check but the bierbrouwerij is also just near it.
Breakfast: for everyday besides Sunday we can get breakfast at Texelse branding for 5 euro, that comes with good quality, very nice place with fresh made breads, besides the set we also ordered extra stuff from there.
Sea you soon offers accommodations in Den Burg, 3.3 miles from Ecomare and 3.3 miles from Dunes of Texel National Park. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking, and free Wifi.

We were really not quite sure what to expect so I would say it was a very pleasant surprise. It has most things you would need and we always like trips which are a bit of a step into the unknown. If it had not been for trying to trace details of my father’s war record which led me to finding someone called Jan Niewenhaus (?) who had developed a database contains information about plane crashes in the Netherlands I would never have heard of Texel.

We visited Texel / Den burg for a 2-day stay/weekend. While fun, we did take our time exploring in a relaxed way. The island is well suited for a one day trip (arrive early at around 10, and leave at 18-19) - it makes for a very satisfying 1 day trip.
Revelation of our visit: they have seals on the island (there's a nature reserve on the west side)
Local commerce seems particularly proud of their local produce - we tried several, but felt it was more of a gimmick than a real WOW factor. Cute though :D

There is a lot to do in and around Den Burg. Lots of nice shops and restaurants, as well as houses and nice landscaping, art and musea. Although the island is small, it is still nice to be in the centre just 10 minutes awy from the wood as well as some beaches.

Our stay was too short to get a chance to really explore all that Den Burg has to offer (there is so much to see on Texel) but it looks like a very cute little town. We liked hearing the church bells from our room and wander around a bit.

Very nice little town on a wonderful island.
Very nice little town on a wonderful island.
Unfortunately restaurants on Texel offer little choice for vegetarians like us. Texel deserves an entirely veggie restaurant in addition to the many places that cater for 'normal' people.
All was just great. Very friendly and helpfull owners who communicated well, during my stay as well as upon arrival.
The room and bathroom are as advertised, comfortable, spacey and clean, bath and seperated douche.
The room has a coffee maker as well as a water cooker! The TV, including internet radio stations is good and easy to use.
The location is awesome, just a few blocks to the centre of Den Burg, but still very private and quiet.
Because of my diet, the owner even provided me each morning with a special breakfast. Great!
Rooms were above the busy bar bistro which was a great place to eat and drink. The room was superb, huge bed facing an open bathroom area with double sink and walk in shower. The owner even carried my wife’s bags up to the room when checking us in. As we were cycle touring we needed some where safe to put our bikes. The arrangement they have with the big hotel round the corner worked really well. From their reception I got a key card to access a secure bike garage in n a neighbouring street, for 5 euros a night.
I returned to this hotel after a time, but now in a private room with a friend. It was a very nice experience again. The private room with shower and toilette was nice, for the price paid. They have a place to store your bicycle that was a nice advantage since we were travelling by bike. The included breakfast was great. We loved the terrace they have to drink some beers. Probably my first option if I return to the overpriced Texel,

Location is great, very central when visiting other parts of the island, close to the centre of Den burg. We had a room with doors opening onto the playing field which is great for kids. Nice atmosphere in general, the bar / lounge room was comfortable with games to play. Breakfast was decent.
We would go again!
Very central, nice and clean, towels fluffy but small shower. Rooms clean but on city side noisy with traffic. Breakfast great three of the four days of our stay. This hotel needs to get their kitchen up and running to serve meals in the evening it has the potential to be really good
Very tidy and nicely maintained vacation homes. Good location close to Ecomare, Den Burg, the national park and the beach. Also a Spar (small supermarket) on site + a nice restaurant that gives you the option of eating out without actually going anywhere. Very friendly staff.
Modern spacious room with a great view over the countryside. An amazing waterfall shower in the bathroom. Fresh fruit and water available in modern shared living space. Bikes for hire available at the hotel which is a really bonus and very friendly helpful staff
It is a fun apartment with parts to explore. it is a great option for a family or larger group as there are a variety of places to sleep. it’s a great location in Den Burg, central and quiet. We would gladly stay here again.
The house is spacious with plenty of sitting area, a table to eat at, the kitchen is well equipped, the garden is lovely with sheltered bike shed and locked gate. It's very private and close to centre of Den Burg
We absolutely loved De Smulpot! What a fantastic place to stay / eat. With that the customer service and experiences created and given by them are all you could ask for as a guest. We cannot wait to come back.
Great location right in the heart of Den Burg and steps from everything. Clean and comfortable property with everything you need for a perfect short stay.
The attention to detail from the greeting to the lovingly prepared breakfast. Comfortable bed and short walk to the center.
B&B with a hotel character.
